Zeus and Justin started Luna Cafe in 2025 after making a hard decision to pivot their careers into a new direction. Justin decided to teach fulltime and pursue his passion of helping students improve their literacy, while Zeus decided to pour his heart into the craft of making coffee and serving our greater Sacramento Community.

Why Use A Black Cat?
We started with the simple idea that we love the craft of making coffee, cats, and providing a service to our community. In our country, black cats are often viewed as "bad luck," or "bad omens," but most cultures actually believe that they bring prosperity and love. We wanted to spread awareness about the neglect and stigma that black cats receive and highlight their likeness using our kitty Luna!
